HELP!Need to write a reflection on Shirly Jackson's ';The Lottery';. I'm beyond lost. Any tips or advice?

For english class, I have to write a reflection on ';The Lottery'; by Shirly Jackson.. How the story relates to something in everyday life. I dont know where to begin. does anyone have any ideas or tips? Thanks!HELP!Need to write a reflection on Shirly Jackson's ';The Lottery';. I'm beyond lost. Any tips or advice?
you should write about mob mentality, how people do things they know are wrong or that they disagree with just because everyone else does it. or something about following tradition despite moral or religious objection.HELP!Need to write a reflection on Shirly Jackson's ';The Lottery';. Gosh, one of the scariest books I ever read in my life! I would say that small-town neighbors and how they react to one another might be a good idea. Or a comparison of playing the lottery, which is so prevalent in these days as opposed to the story-line (could you imagine if you were actually going to be stoned to death if you won???).
