i need some tips!First day of highschool as a freshman tomorrow...Any advice/tips?
I know you probably heard this a billion times before, but trust me it's good advice, be yourself!
Wear something you're comfortable in and makes you feel good. It helps so much to feel confident on the first day and gives you the ';I can do this'; feeling.
Don't worry about getting lost, I'm a junior and I still sometimes don't know where I'm going lol. If you lose your way, just ask a near by teacher. Teachers are usually lenient the first week , especially to freshmen.
If you get to lunch and none of your friends are in it, don't panic. Try looking for someone from a new class you briefly got to know and ask where the library is or something of that sort and just strat a conversation. Then ask to sit down. I know, this was a little tough for me because I'm kinda shy, but just start small and you'll gradually become more comfortable : )
Lastly, get involved! Join a club or sport that interests you! It's a great way to make friends and you already have something in common from he begining. Plus it helps when college applications roll around! I'd generaly say try not to be in more than two clubs, you don't want to overload yourself. I learned this from experience. My freshman year I joined 5 clubs and it was so overwhelming! Now I'm only joining 2. much easier lol
so just be yourself, work hard, be friendly and just take a deep breath before you walk in to calm jitters lol
good luck and have a great firsr day!First day of highschool as a freshman tomorrow...Any advice/tips?
Be yourself! Dress comfortably; jeans are always a great option. Just add a new shirt and some simple accessories, and you're set to go.
Do you have your schedule already? Go over the room numbers and teacher names, and if you can, get a map of the school (maybe on-line or in your school office) and map out where you need to go.
Take a notebook and pencil/pen on your first day to write down any notes about class supplies or requirements. A folder is also helpful for any syllabuses you may receive and of course, for your schedule and school map.
Compare schedules with your friends prior to the first day. If there's a friend in your first hour, you can hang with them before the bell.
Most of all, smile and be confident! Good luck and have fun!
Don't worry---you really don't need any tips. 34058794857398573985 other people have survived freshman year without any ';tips';, so just have fun!
Don't pay attention to Seniors who appear to be ';popular'; other then that, its not as bad as everyone says so just have fun.
