If you want to get a higher toe touch the best thing that you can do would be to stretch every day sit in splits while watching television for a few minutes at a time, especially your middle split for toe touches. Some stretches would be sitting with your legs in a V out as far as you can and lift one leg up, do ten pulses up and down 10 rolls with that leg (front and back) keeping it tight. Switch and do the other leg then do the same with both legs and repeat that about 10 times. This helps with strength and flexibility. Also the best thing that you can do is just work on your jumps with someone who is a cheerleader either in your yard or in front of a mirror. Make sure you point your toes and keep your arms straight in a T and keep your chest up. It is alot to remember, but if you practice hard enough you have awahile before tryouts, also work on tumbling if you can.

ive been in advance cheer since i was 5 cause i was in sparks/priemer there good cheer team! ohh and im 14 now! and still do it! but to make your jumps higher dont bend your back keep its straight and dont look down look forward! and roll out your hips like when you are doing a toe touch and your legs aree up in the air roll your hips back! its hard to explain! sorry! but stretch alot mostly your legs! ask your parents/brother/sister/friend! and some tricks you can do is what i did in comp. like a couple of years ago is round off toe touch or frontwalkover then u runn a little then to a roung off and do a toe touch right after it! if you want me to show you e-mail me and i can video tape it! my e-mail is amandasullivan51@yahoo.com i can also show you how to roll your hips for a toe touch just email me! thanks

practice some plyometrics to make your muscles stronger. your performance will get better. you can google some plyometrics exercises. also, for splits, stretch ALL of you leg muscles often, especially after a cardio workout
