I'm starting 7th grade tomorrow! Need tips/advice?

Well I start tomorrow (August 26th)


And I'm super nervous!





I'm going in with like 0 friends :/


I'm scared to get lost and forget my locker combo and my locker number.


I'm scared the 8th graders will say things to me, and I'm scared to ask them for help.





Really I just need some advice before I start crying lol :)

Okay, I started 7th last year and here is my little opinion:





1. Don't be afraid to get lost. I got lost going to Keyboard class the first day, lol, and the teacher didn't even care. She just expected us to get lost haha. We were running around like crazies trying to find the keyboard room, but we found it. It's not that scary.





2. Forgetting your locker combo isn't that bad. WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE! I forgot it sometimes, causing me to be late for a class, but the teacher didn't really care at all. Right your locker number down on a folder or your binder.





3. I was scared about 8th graders too, but they were really nice and never bothered me. They actually tried to make friends with me. They won't bother you unless you bother them. If they bother you, just remember that they are going to be leaving next year and going to a different school, so you won't have to deal with them when you're in 8th grade. Don't be scared to ask them for help. They probably know more about the school than you do. If they don't help, ask a teacher that is close by.





7th grade was fun. I just went with the flow. I was really nervous for nothing. There we barely any bullies at all.





Also, the teachers are expecting you to get lost believe it or not. It's a new enviornment, and it's a BIG change. They realize that. I mean, they were 7th graders once!I'm starting 7th grade tomorrow! Need tips/advice?

First, I am in 8th grade,


and I will tell you this.


They won't make fun of you,


chances are,


they don't even care about you much [no offence haha]


And if you really need to ask for help,


ask somebody who looks nice!


Somebody who is smiling and laughing and is dressed appropriate,


those are the people who would help you,


if they are dressed poorly and don't look friendly,


don't ask them, they are the people NOT to ask.





About the locker conbo and number...


Write it down on a piece of paper,


and stick it in your pocket


that way if you forget, you can just pull it out.





I don't know about the getting lost part,


but if you do..


you can always ask a nice 8th grader, a teacher, or the office.





Just be calm,


look and feel confident,


and stand out in a good way.


Usually, well at least at my school,


if a new person looks nice, like they take care of themselves, and such me and my friends will go up to them and ask if they wanna sit with us.





But anyway,

well I seriously doubt that you would be the only one feeling like that on the 1st day.





best thing for you to do is go in with your head up high and a pleasant smile on your face. as far as the 0 friends go , am sure you will make new ones once you open up and speak ... remember the other person maybe just as nervous as you are .





so just be yourself and go for it.





ps - always a good thing to make friends with the person using the locker next to your's .. that way you wont forget where your locker is.
Hey i was too and i just started a couple days ago. Im not going to lie... I HATED it. I had the same problem as you. But it was my fault. For advice i would tell you to just come out of your shell and meet some new friends. That was really hard for me but i did it! I cried the whole night before. But it helped cause i got it all out of me. And the 8th graders might seem scary but most of them are really nice. If you ever have any problems or ge lost just dont be afraid to ask people. It will get better. I promise. Hope i helped!

geez calm down. r u like new there? cause then im pretty sure you would be in the same school. just be the way u were last year and right down ur locker combo and number on ur hand or arm or a piece of paper. 8th graders are just 7th graders but with a bigger number haha. they were 7th graders last year.
OMG ITS FRIKKING OKAY. IM IN 8TH GRADE. just write down your combo and locker number in a place you know you ll never forget it. be friendly and smile to people, youll make friends in no time! the 8th graders wont be mean, and if they are ignore it. they were just like you last year
Just be friendly and im sure you will make friends and about your locker combo write it on a piece of paper and always keep it in your pocket,, i was new when i was in grade seven and it took two weeks but i finally found a friend :)
r u coming in from an elementary school that goes to 6th grade? you will make plenty of new friends doing lots of things. make friends with the ppl u are with in abc order like u r in most classes. stick with your class. once u get past homeroom you have a whole class to get lost with, and plenty of teachers to help.
ah I remember 7th grade. Don't worry it's probably the easiest year in middle school. If your friendly and if you talk you'll make friends in about 10 second flat. Just don't talk to the 8th graders, let them ignore you
well i been moving a bit, and started 7th grade , 9th and 10th all in new schools w/out knowing any1. Just be nice and trust me you will at least find some ppl that will be yer friends. Good LuCK
don't be scared fear makes you vulnerable be happy and you'll make friends and blow right through the school year
