Practice saying ';Sir, Recruit (last name) requests permission to speak!';
Sir, Recruit (last name) (state what you want to say)!
Make sure if you say something, it needed to be said as you will know real quick it was a mistake to say something just to say it! Blend in and take the sand pit as a gym on the beach! It is fun once you look back and it is not as bad as I thought it would be.
Good luck and have fun!
Semper Fi!Im leaving to the Marines Bootcamp this Tuesday Morning, Sept 2 Does anyone have any tips or advice?
I'm in the Air Force so I know it's different. But one of the first things my TI told us was that we were in one big game. I look back on it and laugh now, and towards the end things will probably start to be funny to you. But don't take anything personal, and try not to stand out in odd ways. You will get yelled at, but towards the end you will see that it was because they needed you to learn something fast and they wanted it to stick.
Hoooaaah, not Marine but trained with a few in Canooneer school at Ft.Sill, Ok. Good luck, and God Bless, all you have to do is try and you will succed. Remember Semper Fidelis is forever and not just after you have served your country. To Good times and even better Friends.
You're probably going to get yelled at by the DI's a LOT and my advice would be to not take any of it personally. They're there to make you a better person and a better Marine. Just keep your head up, drink water, and you'll be fine.
Don't take anything at all personally and don't exist to the DIs. The best thing you could do is to get into and out of bootcamp without any DI knowing who you are.
Oh yeah, and seriously DON'T LOCK YOUR KNEES!!!! LOL. Seriously though, don't.
God Bless!! As many have stated don't take the yelling personnel. It is only a method to break up down from the civilian life to being a marine. I wish you the best.
Good luck =)
